ABOUT THE COUNCIL
The Vermont Council on Domestic Violence provides leadership for Vermont’s statewide effort to eradicate domestic violence. The Council supports statewide systems and communities to be proactive in their response to domestic violence, and craft intervention and support that is immediate, ongoing, survivor-centered and trauma informed.
Domestic Violence Accountability Programs
The Council is responsible for establishing and maintaining standards for Domestic Violence Accountability Programs (DVAPs) for people who cause harm in intimate partner relationships, and developing a process for certifying that programs are complying with those standards.
